I try to write a journal every 1000 views. Been tardy on this one. I've been able to take a lot of pix so far this summer, but I made what, for me, is kind of a sad discovery a couple of weeks ago: I think I've outgrown my trusty Nikon D90. It just doesn't have the resolution that I've come to want and expect. I stumbled on this a few weeks ago while visiting my son in St. Louis, Missouri. Rather than haul tons of photo equipment with me, I picked up a cheap Nikon point and shoot. While it doesn't have any of the versatility that the D90 has, it has a higher resolution and I could tell the different in post production. With the D90 I have to sharpen most images. That wasn't necessary with the S7000. If you check out the flamingo pic on my page you can see that the image is quite good. So now I'm thinking of upgrading to a Nikon D7200. (Oh sure! I'd rather get a pro level camera, but that's not in the budget right now.) What I've read about this camera looks good. Anyone with any info about this beast please feel free to pass it on.
